The series test after Joab and Jeremiah was simple: if The Anointed Blade is the same hard man in a chariot costume, this desk is out. It is not. Jehu is speed and shortfall, not altar horns, not a cistern. Oil, Jezreel, window, Baal, calves still standing. That is a different novel. Good.
